Algorithm writers!

This afternoon we have been writing algorithms for Daisy Dino and ALEX. Phoebe made Daisy do some street dancing!

Lots of instructions! We learned that Daisy and ALEX will only do what we ask them to do.

The algorithms we wrote became trickier as we went on. We really had to think!

Fireworks writing

Today we are writing  about fireworks . It was exiting.

I'm a Catchasnatchosaurus ...

Miss BB's Brilliant Brigade (aka Miss BB's Brilliant Berries) have been performing their Catchasnatchosaurus poems this week, then recording them using puppet pals. What do you think? 

 Stanley and James did such a great job that they took theirs to show Miss Yates. They will also be shared here soon.

Happy Puzzle Challenges!

This afternoon we had a great time with Sycamore class, working together to solve some tricky problems. We had to really listen to one another and work as a team. 

First we had a penguin puzzle and we had to balance all the penguins on a wobbly iceberg. They kept sliding off! We had to think about symmetry and working together.

Next we had to fit all the pieces in the parallelogram, making sure that the same colours weren't next to each other. Look who did it first! 

Shape investigators!

We have been investigating the different 2d shapes that we can make with 4 triangles that we cut from a square. We tried to make triangles, rectangles, pentagons, hexagons, heptagons and octagons. Some of us made parallelograms too! 

We photographed the shapes we made and saved them in Book Creator, so that we could name them. 

 Our mini digital leaders taught us how to type in Book Creator.

We also made the same 2d shapes using Geoboards. It was fun! 

Fire trucks!
