Cool coders!

This afternoon we have been using Espresso coding. Our mini digital leaders have been leading the way and supporting their classmates to learn when necessary.

We have written algorithms, using blocks, to make things happen.

Rohan and Hayden thought it was awesome and really enjoyed creating their castles.

Two Evies showed how they could change backgrounds to make it more interesting.

Some of us used the iPads to use Espresso Coding.

Lewie created a super, multi-coloured castle as a background for his fairy tale characters.

There was super learning with added concentration, perseverance, excitement and enjoyment all the way round the ICT suite today!

Digital leader stars!

This afternoon some of Rowan Class mini digital leaders have been to Cherry and Hazel Class to teach them how to use some early computing games, like Kodable, ALEX and Beebots. They showed them how to write some algorithms, then test them! Our reception children showed brilliant concentration!

Digital leader applications!

Rowan Class had two options for homework this week and one of them was to tell me why they would make a great mini digital leader. Look at these marvellous letters! Archie has even typed his! The effort that has been put in has made me feel all warm and fuzzy! Super work again my lovelies :-)
