King's Balance at Thorpe Woodlands

Lots of problem solving occurred on the King's Balance today. Some practised their leadership skills, whilst others listened and acted. Look how brilliant they were - they managed to balance lots of different combinations of adults and children. Well done Rowan class - I'm so very proud of you!

Thorpe Woodlands

What a fantastic day we have all had in the woods today! Our words of the day were: teamwork, perseverance, determination, pride and self-belief. We were fantastic at praising and encouraging one another. There were some great leadership skills too. Look at the photos and see which of these words you can pick out. These photos are from the low rope activities.

Thanks to our fantastic parent helpers again. We couldn't have done it without you!

Wildlife photographers, nature spotters!

This week we were photographers whilst we were out and about. We are going to make our own identification charts, so needed to practice taking close-up pictures. What do you think?

After that, we went into the nest to start preparing for a woodlouse investigation. We want to find out what conditions they prefer in their habitat. We have some good ideas, that we are going to test.

We then started to make our identification sheets, using book creator. We learned how to crop pictures to centre them and make them look better.

We had a lovely reward at the end of the day- some of the elderflower cordial we made last week! It was yummy!
